Ambic presented the results of a research project it has been conducting into cluster spraying with peracetic acid at the recent British Mastitis Conference which was held in Worcester on 6th October 2010. The research project was undertaken in conjunction with The Dairy Group, a firm of independent dairy farm consultants, and was spearheaded by Ian Ohnstad. The trials were conducted at the dairy unit at Hartpury College near Gloucester which operates a 32/32 rapid exit milking parlour.
The research project studied the level of bacterial soiling and contamination on a liner before and after spraying with peracetic acid. It confirmed a significant reduction in the bacterial count of liners following use of the PeraSpray system. |
