Ambic developed the world’s first dip cup in conjunction with the National Institute for Research in Dairying (NIRD) back in the 1980s. This pioneering work established the importance of post milking teat disinfection in the control of mastitis. This original Ambic dip cup, with subsequent modifications and improvements, still forms part of the Ambic range today!
Since the '80s Ambic has continued to innovate in dip cup design. From the development of the StandardDipper™ Ambic went on to develop the world’s first Non Return dip cup to prevent contaminated chemical getting back to the reservoir bottle. Today this dip cup design has become the world’s largest selling dip cup and the de facto benchmark for effective teat dipping. That’s why we've branded it the No.1 Non Return dip cup!
More recently Ambic developed the world’s first foaming dip cup for fast, easy and accurate application of foaming teat disinfectants, particularly for pre-milking treatment.
Ambic has also developed the TwinDipper™, a dip cup which reduces the effort required for the application of high viscosity barrier dips.
